پس از اینکه گروههای تروریستی عناصر خود را از شمال حلب به سوی غرب و جنوب غرب این استان منتقل کردند در منطقه «خان طومان» با نیروهای سوری و مقاومت درگیر شدند، ولی با دادن تلفات بسیار مجبور به عقبنشینی شدند.
پس از پاکسازی مساحت وسیعی از ریف جنوب غربی و شرقی استان حلب، گروههای تروریستی برای مقابله با پیشروی نیروهای سوری و مقاومت، صدها تن از عناصر تروریستی خود را از شمال حلب به سوی غرب و جنوب غرب این استان منتقل کردند.
از شنبه شب گذشته نیز نزدیک به 320 تن از عناصر تروریستی از جمله «جیش المجاهدین» و «جبهة النصرة» حملات شدیدی را به غرب منطقه راهبردی «خان طومان» ترتیب دادند.
بنا بر این گزارش، در پی این حمله، درگیری شدیدی بین تروریستها و نیروهای سوری و مقاومت در شرق منطقه آغاز گردید و درگیریها تا صبح روز یکشنبه ادامه داشت که در نهایت نیروهای سوری پس از مقاومت شدید توانستند دهها تن از عناصر تروریستی را کشته و شمار زیادی از آنها را زخمی کنند.
بر اساس این گزارش، بیشتر تلفات تروریستها بر اثر حملات توپخانهای و حملات جنگندههای روس و سوری بوده است.
البته به اعتراف تروریستها در جریان این عملیات، بیش از 100 تن از عناصر تروریستی جبهة النصره کشته شدند و تعدادی از عناصر باقی مانده با رها کردن اجساد همرزمان خود مجبور به عقبنشینی از منطقه شدند.
بنا بر این گزارش، گروهی از عناصر تروریستی جیش المجاهدین که بطور مخفیانه قصد نفوذ به منطقه را داشتند تا اجساد تروریستها را از این منطقه خارج کنند نیروهای سوری و مقاومت موفق شدند با هدف قرار دادن خودروی آنان توسط موشک حرارتی خودرو را بطور کامل منهدم کنند و تمامی سرنشینان آن را بکشند.
