هنیه تصریح کرد: بیت المقدس و مسجدالاقصی از آن ماست. ما کوتاه نمی آییم و اسرائیل را به رسمیت نخواهیم شناخت و تسلیم نخواهیم شد. مقاومت در اینجا، کرانه باختری، بیت المقدس و در همه جا برای حمایت از مسجدالاقصی و بازگرداندن قدس و آزادسازی همه سرزمین قدس ادامه خواهد داشت.
فلسطینیان نوار غزه با استقبال از عید قربان، همبستگی خود را با برادرانشان در کرانه باختری، خارج از سرزمین فلسطین و قدس اشغالی که در معرض انواع حملات صهیونیستها و طرح های یهودی سازی و تقسیم قرار دارد، اعلام کردند.

وی افزود: ما به خواست خدا به قدس می رویم و می دانیم که رسیدن به آرزوهایمان علیرغم توطئه ها، بسیار نزدیک و دست یافتنی است.
صدها هزار فلسطینی با ابراز سرور و شادمانی و سردادن بانگ تکبیر و لااله الا الله در استادیوم و میادین عمومی غزه حضور به هم رساندند. این درحالی است که آنها علیرغم شدت محاصره و دشواری شرایط، امید به پیروزی، آزادی و اخراج اشغالگران را در دل دارند.
مردم فلسطین باوجود اینکه در محاصره قرار دارند و خانه هایشان تخریب شده و آواره شده اند و دلیلی برای شادی ندارند، از عید استقبال می کنند و چشم به قدس دوخته اند. زبان حال آنها این است که عید ما، روز بازگشت ماست. یعنی زمانی که قدس آزاد و پایتخت دولت مستقل فلسطین شود.
